Having looked at mixed reviews at the Kingsbury I was a little apprehensive about our 2 nights stay, but honestly it was lovely. We could not have been looked after better, the staff were all amazing. Breakfasts were amazing - loads of choice between Sri Lankan (give it a try!), Indian, Continental and English. The public areas (reception, restaurants, pool and an amazing cake/coffee shop) were all quite plush. Popular choice for wedding venue so lots of beautiful ladies in their sari's to admire. The beds were amazingly comfortable and it is in a really good location opposite the Dutch Hospital which now houses lots of trendy little restaurants, boutiques and live music. Also within walking distance to One Galle Place which is a big plush new shopping mall.

Breakfast was more than we expected and the staff was very good to us. Chef made various items which was not on the menu. Made homely. Like to come again. Location was not that convenient, but okay

The hotel has a number of eating and drinking venues that give a large variety of options and entertainment. It has been well remediated and the breakfast offered a great variety and the staff were considerate.

I enjoyed my stay at The Kingsbury. I would like to specifically mention Front Office team member Prabhath who did my check in. He was great at explaining things and answered all my questions very patiently. He had a smile on his face all the time and very well presented. He recognised me at the time of my check out and that was a surprise to me as Kingsbury get lot of guests in a day. Customer service was excellent from the main entrance. Staff never hesitated to help us whenever we asked. Buffet breakfast was excellent and enjoyed a complete Sri Lankan breakfast after 5 years. Will definitely visit The Kingsbury again when we come to Sri Lanka next time. 10/10 to Prabhath.

Overall great value for money on the room stay, convenient location in Colombo city, helpful staff, and the Kings Steakbar restaurant is excellent (though it's dinner only, no lunch there). Downstairs cafe Churros is also a great option for entertaining guests.

Well when you travel for business sometimes you dont even think about the food because of a daily stress, anyhow those few minutes when i approach the buffet i find many excellent food display on it. well presented and superb test , from Breakfast, the churros coffe shop, to the Chinese Restaurant and the Ocean restaurant where i had the chance to eat in the 4 F.B. outlet , superb quality of food and great service everywhere

The hotel is in a great location. We walked to One Galle Face mall and to Pettah market. Our bed was very comfort and it was great to have 2 armchairs to sit in so that we did not have to sit on the bed. The tea selection in the room was great with VERY nice Earl Grey teabags. The staff were all very helpful. We enjoyed the food at the 2 restaurants/bar we ate at. We do not eat breakfast so didn’t try that. The live band at the lovely rooftop bar was great. We sat outside at the rooftop bar & the view & pleasant cool breeze was really lovely.

This is definitely our go to hotel when staying Sri Lanka. The beds are especially comfortable, the rooms are clean and the service is impeccable. My husband was ill during our stay and the care provided during and after was amazing. They really care about their guests. Breakfast buffet is excellent with a wide variety of selections to cater for all. Thank you Kingsbury.

As a person who has travels quite often to Sri Lanka, this very visit was incredibly memorable. The moment you step out of the airport, one of their representative is eagerly waiting to receive you with the brightest smile, once reaching the hotel, a quick check-in is done by the front desk team (huge shout-out to, Amjad) The room is spacious, where ever I travel, Rooms are not the first priority however I would recommend for minor touches to make it "wow" let's get to Food & Beverages, oh my god! The food is delicious but my favorite thing was the service, I truly experienced the Sri Lankan Hospitality. The Team in OCEAN was just out of this world, the food is just mouth watering, Thank you so much Tharindu for taking an amazing care of our last evening, you are not just a star, you are a SUPER STAR. I will definitely return to have a meal in OCEAN. Yes, I can go on and on about how Grand my stay with Kingsbury Colombo was and is, I can't thank each and every team member there enough for the amazing time, Thank you so much and my sincere apologies for not remembering any names but you all are there as well. see you all soon.
